“Lonely bouquets” of flowers have been left waiting for new homes across the Black Country to make people smile, it has been revealed.

The flowers have been left at bus stops, outside nurseries and in parks with a card explaining they are to cheer up whoever finds them.

Third-generation florist Amanda Meese decided to take part in the ‘National Lonely Bouquet Day’ on Sunday, June 27, then after she released how much the gesture delighted people she decided to keep leaving flowers across the region and posting clues on Facebook.
