OVER THE PAST 18 months the price of flowers has escalated – by more than 20 percent according to some sources. But with a bit of imagination and the help of garden foliage, gourdes, pumpkins, moss and seasonal fruits together with dried and preserved plant material, designs can be created using just one flower costing less than $1. Using color, texture and form and a little imagination can go a long way. Here are a few ideas.
