New flower collective in St. George brings together local flower farmers for weekly market

ST. GEORGE —A brand-new flower market is connecting local flower farmers with florists, designers and anyone else who wants to stop and smell the roses.

Starting at 10 a.m. every Wednesday, the back room of the Modern Farm and Artisan Co-op will blossom into a local all-flower market, the Farm Fresh Flower Market. The first hour and a half will be a wholesale market specifically for florists and designers. During that time, flowers will be sold in bunches rather than bouquets.

Florists can pre-order their flowers the week before and pick them up at the market, shop at the market in person, or set up a delivery time.

At noon, the market will flip over to a retail market, which will be open to the general public. The market will have a bouquet bar with mixed bouquets, flowers available by the bunch, options for DIY weddings and parties and general everyday flowers people can enjoy.
