Hey everyone, I’m Erik Witcraft AIFD, floral design contributor for Florist Review, and today I will sharing with you how to create a rustic but modern armature arrangement.
To begin this design, I am using a 10” metal ring that I have covered in jute twine. Next, I am crisscrossing lengths of jute across the middle of the hoop. This will be the start to my armature that will support the flowers. It kind of looks like a dreamcatcher. I am going to place this jute armature on top of this glass cylinder.
Next, I am going to wind Smithers Oasis flat cane in a natural tone through the armature to create movement and dimension.
