Fresh-cut flowers are a celebration in a vase. Collected into an arrangement to fancy up an event, they introduce color, beauty, elegance, drama. They also fade, fall apart, die. But not right away. Not by the end of the wedding, the fundraiser, the anniversary, the celebration of life for which they were arranged.
Some people gather up flowers at the end of the occasion and continue to enjoy them at home. Consider the bouquet toss. Yet most event flowers fall by the way of leftovers, ending up unceremoniously tossed in the trash bin out back.
