Named after the Greek god Achilles, these striking bee-friendly plants offer much inspiration for arrangers. Lynn Bottamley sourced material from the National Plant Collection of Achillea at John Cullen Gardens to create these summery designs.
This sphere of multicoloured Achillea cultivars includes brick red and yellow ‘Fanal’, pale lemon-yellow ‘Moondust’ and magenta A. millefolium ‘Cassis’. For contrasting texture, I added some succulents, a baby Aeonium ‘Dinner Plate’ and a couple of strands of Sedum morganianum (donkey tail).
