Editing and publishing Flora has been my joy and passion. Sadly this is my last issue as editor. I have had a difficult year and it has become impossible to juggle all I do and bring you a magazine of quality. My team has been outstanding, Scarlett Goldsack at my side in the school, Marina Jordan-Rugg as sub editor and Karen Prior as Art Editor. Our botanical consultant Christina Curtis has always been a powerful source of support. I’ve been fortunate to work with floral designers I respect and admire including Pip Bensley, Chrissie Harten, Sarah Hills-Ingyon, Jonathan Moseley and many more.
Sarah Ferguson, who appears on the front cover of this issue, is interviewed on pages 14–16. It is always fascinating to learn little-known details about those who are household names and simply love flowers. Sarah’s insights are no exception. We send our very best to her for a full and speedy recovery from her breast cancer.
The magazine has now been taken over by the American publisher of Florists’ Review. All subscriptions will be honored. Jules Lewis Gibson, President & Creative Director of the Florists’ Review Media Group, will be bringing a lively new look to the magazine, which will continue to be full of floral inspiration.
