An event and freelance designer, Orit owns Orit Hertz – Floral Design in Kibbutz Naan, Israel. After leaving her high-tech career, she has dedicated her life to offering educational courses, continuing her floral education and creating floral art.
When designing a head piece, branches are collected to create beautiful extensions and establish a wonderful base for the flowers design, shape and movement. The technique used to create this look is wiring and taping the flowers to provide the desired movement. Sensitive flowers are placed in water tubes wrapped in brown floral tape to match the wood. A key for a head piece to last for days, is to soak the flowers for 3 hours before incorporating them into a design to ensure 20 freshness.
